PACER Configuration System

Digital Line Settings

To configure your Digital T1 Lines, chose the Digital Line Settings menu option. This will bring up a dialog box with several settings for your Digital Phone Lines. These setting are set once and should not need to be changed unless your telephone company changes or the digital line setting from the telephone company are changed.

The first 4 settings – incoming call notification and off hook notification – should in most cases be kept at their defaults of A- and B- bits on. This should be correct for most telephone companies in North America.

Send wink on seizure should be selected if your telephone provider requires a wink signal to indicate acceptance of line seizure (incoming call).

Outbound wink start should be selected if your telephone lines are “wink start” or “DTMF Wink” lines, and un-selected if your lines are “immediate” or “dial-tone” start.

Wait for dialtone should be selected if your telephone provider is sending a dialtone down the line that the dialer must wait for. Generally this is not the case and is not selected.

Finally, In-Band ANI/DNIS should be selected if your lines provide in-band ANI and DNIS information. This will be un-selected in outbound only applications.
